Choose Which Day Your Week Starts On

A small setting that matters more than it sounds

Some people start the week on Monday. Some start it on Sunday. It feels trivial until your habit calendar disagrees with your brain โ€” and every weekly streak lands on the "wrong" boundary.

EmberTrack now lets you decide.

How it works

In Account โ†’ First day of week, you'll find a new setting with four choices:

  • Auto โ€” detected from your account's timezone (the default)
  • Monday โ€” the ISO / European convention
  • Sunday โ€” the US convention
  • Saturday โ€” used in parts of the Middle East and elsewhere

Your history calendar and heatmap redraw to match: the first column of every week becomes the day you picked. Weekly streaks and weekly tasks reset on that same day, so a "week" means the same thing everywhere in the app.

What it doesn't change

Changing the week start only affects where weekly boundaries fall going forward. It doesn't rewrite your past check-ins or move any history around โ€” your record stays exactly as it happened.

If you're not sure

Leave it on Auto. EmberTrack will pick the convention that's standard for your timezone, and you'll probably never think about it again โ€” which is the whole point.
